The Reform UK leader Accuses Teachers of ‘Poisoning Our Kids’ on Race Issues

The political figure stated that teachers would go on strike shortly after a Reform UK election victory, charging that they are “harming young minds” by instructing children that black pupils are victims and white children oppressors.

At a gathering for a private US Christian college, Farage outlined his viewpoint on the UK education system, stating that the “Marxist left” had “taken over schooling”.

“I expect a teachers’ strike very quickly after winning the next general election,” Farage commented during a Q&A session.

“They are corrupting young minds. They are telling them to be ashamed of their country. They are telling little Johnny, who’s eight, who is black that he is oppressed and a white child of the same age that he is a perpetrator. They create division, not uniting us. They promote this harmful mindset.”

In response to Farage’s claims, the head of a major education union dismissed the idea that the education system was controlled by Marxists as “nonsense”. He pointed out that industrial action must relate to educators’ working conditions, and questioned whether the party would target these immediately upon entering government.

“The politician has crafted his public life on coded rhetoric and now, like Trump, he is targeting educators and their unions for a fight,” Kebede stated.

“This is highly reckless. I don’t – and nor does my union – push critical race theory as he’s suggesting … Should he become prime minister he would sell out our public services, particularly schooling … and he would be a disaster for students and learning.”

The party, which is leading the polls by a significant margin, has provided limited specifics on a proposed education policy and seems not to have designated an education lead.

However, Farage’s remarks indicated the party would overhaul the system and the curriculum. He said: “We have got a massive job with schooling – truly monumental. Moreover, we can’t do it in six months or a year; it will take us years, a long-term effort to reform.”

Farage expressed that younger generations are receptive to analytical thought, but older youth were “completely lost”.

Paying tribute to a conservative activist, he commented: “My goal for schooling is to foster independent thought – to educate individuals that multiple perspectives exist and you make up your own mind rather than what’s happening now where one is virtuous and one is evil. It’s a massive job in the UK and US.”

Reform has previously clashed with a major educators’ organization, after the union leader labeled them “far right and racist” and described the leader as “a poundshop Donald Trump”.

Farage has accused Kebede of being “a self-declared Marxist” … an individual intent that our children should be poisoned through education, their minds should be poisoned regarding national issues” and has argued that the organization seeks to brainwash teenagers against Reform.

Almost one million people work in schools in the UK, with educators comprising half and the others teaching assistants and support staff. The major education union has hundreds of thousands of members.

Countrywide walkouts over educators’ salaries and work environment in recent years caused widespread disruption in educational institutions and millions of days of lost learning for students.

During the American gathering, the Reform leader also pledged to help spread the digital courses of the institution in the UK. He stated organizations like it were “part of the fightback”, noting: “I am serious. I’ll assist garner hundreds of thousands, if not millions of young people to your online courses. I pledge this tonight and I’ll do that.”

The college, a small private Christian college, offers free courses. Its website states: “A scientific, literary, theological, political, and moral education is necessary for personal happiness and to perpetuate the blessings of civil and religious liberty. The college furnishes these excellent programs for free to every interested learner.”
